Events at Speedgate – August

Once again, we have had a busy couple of weeks with events at Speedgate

Firstly, we had unaffiliated show jumping and it was again lovely seeing new and regular faces coming forward to compete. We are still only taking pre-entries via Horse Monkey and giving all our riders a time to jump their rounds. Congratulations to all our deserving winners and we look forward to hopefully seeing you at our next show jumping event on Sunday 5th September.

Our mid-week Affiliated dressage is continuing to be popular, and the weather was finally going to be kind to us! All the results for the day can be found on Horse Monkey. This event will continue throughout the winter months except for January. So there is plenty of opportunities to gain those important qualifying points ready for the Winter Area Festival 2022.

Saturday 14th August, we had our unaffiliated dressage event. The day started off with a PYO class (Prelim 15 and Prelim 19), and it was Clare Wheeler and Vorvas Hill Aurora who were our first combination (p15) down the centre line. They completed their test to finish on a respectable score of 63.40%, which was going to be enough to give them 2nd place in their section and 4th overall in the class. It was Sophie Clark and the lovely grey horse, Ballydaniel Jack that delivered a wonderful test (p19) to finish 1st in their section and 1st overall in the class.
