Sprenger Bits are crafted in Germany. Priding themselves on careful workmanship and creating bits out of the highest quality raw materials, Sprenger are leading manufacturers in this industry

Sprenger Sensogan

Sensogan is the new bit material developed by Sprenger! It is the distinctive composition of copper, manganese and zinc that makes SENSOGAN so special. Tests show a very positive influence on the horse’s satisfaction, motivation and willingness to perform.

The advantages of Sensogan at a glance:

  • High compatability
  • Easy to clean
  • Targeted and dosed stimulation of salivation
  • Toxicologically tested
Sprenger KK Ultra

KK ultra achieve their unique, precise effect through the special 45 degree angle of the middle link. When used correctly, the horses confidence in the rider’s hand is enhanced. Compared to conventional bits, the middle link has also been shortened which noticeably optimises the effect of these bits.

The development of the KK ULTRA bit is based on scientific research. In short, the sensitive horse mouth offers little space for a bit. This space has to be used by anatomical adjustments in such a way that a comfortable and effective rein aid is possible for the rider.

Sprenger WH Ultra

Developed by Sprenger in cooperation with Lisa Wilcox and Ernst Hoyos, they are a double jointed bit, angled forward by 45°

“This unique roller provides a gentle stimulation to the tongue, which encourages the horse to chew, prompting salivation, allowing the acceptance of the bit therefore the relaxation of the jaw. It has been Ernst and my experience that through this gentle stimulation our horses learn more quickly to accept the bit softening their entire top-line enabling us to perform the movements with more relaxation, thoroughness and ultimately more harmony.” – Lisa Wilcox

Sprenger Dynamic RS

Dynamic RS bits are shaped in such a way that they lie anatomically coreect between tongue and palet and do not exert pressure on sensitive parts of the mouth. The middle link is angled forward by 45° and uses the sensitive sense of touch of the tongue. Thanks to the ergonomic shape, the rein aids reach the horse’s mouth in a ore targeted manner.

The advantages of Dynamic RS bits at a glance

  • particularly large model variety
  • anatomically adapted and ergonomically shaped mouthpiece
  • optimum 45° angle position of the centre section
  • even pressure distribution, no palatal pressure
  • mouth and tongue friendly
Sprenger novocontact

novocontact bits are designed to create a unique oval shape which widens the contact surface on the tongue while the rider keeps a steady contact. As the rider gives a rein aid, the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface gets narrow, ensuring a more precise and effective communication.

Tests have shown that single jointed novocontact bits are highly recommended for horses that do not take the contact confidently. They also provide added benefit for horses with a sensitive mouth, since the rider is able to give precise but soft aids.

Double jointed novocontact bits are also ideal to use on horses that occasionally tend to pull against the hand, but are too sensitive to be ridden with stronger bits
