We support Lee Valley Junior Team grassroots cycling by equipping them with an amazing kit from our Specialized Concept Store.
Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club started at Eastway Cycling Circuit on the 1st of May 2000.
The Club is represented in most National Competitions in youth categories and also promotes many youth races.
They also organise our own road race series in Summer and Winter and have organised successful National races at Hog Hill on behalf of British Cycling, the national cycling body.
They welcome riders of all abilities and most members joined with little previous cycling experience. As a Go-Ride Registered club, our coaching activities are run by British Cycling qualified coaches, all of whom have undergone a DBS check and have been cleared to work with children.
The bikes, If your child needs them, they have bikes for hire at low cost, so there’s no reason not to get riding! Come and join a friendly, relaxed club atmosphere and learn to become an expert rider.
Lee Valley Velo was re-formed in 2012 to cater to the demands of our youths who were moving up to Juniors and to encourage our adult members. They hope to develop the type of social riding that takes place in other clubs and to develop the coaching skills of our Juniors. They also will be looking to organise Junior and adult races alongside our popular Winter and Summer Circuit Series.
The club was set up with the help of Neil Simpson (British Cycling), Pete and Karem (Lee Valley Senior Club) and Terry (Whitewebs) and with excellent backing from the Lee Valley Park Authority. The club was established on the Hillingdon Slipstreamers model which welcomes youth members from any club to be trained as youth riders who then return to their senior club when they become juniors.
