“I ride two bikes at the moment – one is a Trek Madone that spends more time as a wall ornament than it does on the road, and the other is my general use bike, a Norco Search XR steel. I chose the steel frame for comfort, strength and reliability and the extra wide forks allow me to add wide touring tyres for extra confidence in all conditions. The Continental Contact Plus tyres provide superior grip in the wet and dry as well as excellent puncture resistance. The Halo wheels are exceptionally strong and offer great power transfer, and the Shimano GRX 800 has great shifting integrity. The addition of Henderson Double Row Enduro 11mm bottom bracket bearings provides additional outstanding power transfer, along with rotation smoothness and reliability, and the Brooks saddle is comfortable as well as durable.

The final addition of Ortlieb rollertop pannier bags give me the confidence to carry everything I need with confidence in all conditions.”

Thanks to Keith for sharing the details of his bike with us – it’s clear that every little detail has been thought of and his selection of components/accessories is spot on. If you’d like something similar for your daily commutes, check out our excellent selection of Gravel/Adventure bikes here.
