Who doesn’t love a bike check?! Our company is full of passionate riders who have spent huge amounts of time perfecting their set-up and in our latest series we take an in-depth look at some of the bikes of the Balfe’s team.
First up is Jonny from our Unit 5 Bike Building Team. Our Unit 5 team work hard behind the scenes to build each bike that goes out via home delivery – you won’t see their faces in the shops but they work equally as hard to make each Balfe’s customer experience a positive one.

“This bike was bought with the intention that it is one bike that does it all, to be ridden on and off-road. The Chromoly frame has served me well when I’ve needed that stiffness and reliability, and the components have all been changed over time when needed to make the bike lighter and faster (but still maintaining that level of simplicity I wanted when I bought it originally).
I don’t have any intention of replacing it going forward, as it still does exactly what I want it to, and sits perfectly in the middle ground between race and ultra adventure ready geometry wise”.
