For this weeks bike check we’re taking a look at our Notting Hill Store Manager Adam’s Yeti SB130. Adam has had a number of different bikes over the years but always dreamed of a Yeti SB130. Obviously Yeti is not a brand we sell, but we won’t hold that against him – it’s one good looking bike! Find out more below.

Frame: Yeti SB130

Fork: Marzocchi Bomber Z1 Air

Shock: PUSH Industries ELEVENSIX Coil

Wheels: DT Swiss M1900

Tyres: Michelin Wild Enduro

Groupset: SRAM GX Eagle

Brakes: Hope E4

Seatpost: Fox Transfer

Adam Says:

“I picked this bike up second hand, and since shooting I’ve actually removed the purple hope parts. The brakes have been swapped out for Shimano XTR 4pots! Next I’ll be upgrading the bar and stem, and I’ll probably leave the wheels and drivetrain for now.

Originally I had the SB130’s bigger brother the SB150 but it just seemed like too much bike for my style of riding and the terrain we have surrounding London. Yeti has always been my most wanted brand, but I have had other bikes such as a GT Force, Trek Slash and Ibis Ripmo.

Since I moved to the UK I mainly ride Enduro style tracks or DH. You’ll most likely find me with friends having fun in the woods and shredding trails all day long. This type of riding has always been my favourite and I’ve never found other bikes as fun or enjoyable as MTB’s are!”

Thanks very much Adam for sharing your thoughts with us and we look forward to seeing the evolution of your bike as you upgrade the rest of it’s parts!
