We’re a small bike shop bang in the centre of the Northern Quarter in Manchester, UK.

Just the three of us – Shona, Richard and Olive the Dog

We have over 20 years of retail history spread between outdoor clothing / equipment, mapping and bike building.  Keep Pedalling was started in Manchester when bikepacking meant strapping dry bags to your rack and heading off for an explore. Since 2009 things have moved on and we have been supplying help, advice and bikes for your adventures, near and far – lets face it backyard adventures are just as fun as the ones in far flung lands! Saying that we’ve supplied bikes, accessories and built some tough and reliable wheels for racers and explorers competing in some of the harshest and most gruelling of adventure races on the planet.

Talking of gruelling adventure races we have first hand experience of toeing the start line and completing some ourselves. If you’re thinking of competing in any of these races we’ve been there and may have some insight;

Silk Road Mountain Race x 2 ( second time on our Salsa Powderkeg tandem )

Atlas Mountain Race ( remember the first one where only 30% finished? )

Highland Trail 550 ( again, our tandem record still stands 😂 )

As well as multiple adventures in Spain, Morocco and Iceland in between 24hr MTB marathons.

When we’re not prepping for one of those we have a small Border Terrier to entertain. As far as we’re aware she holds the FKT ( Fastest Known Terrier ) for both the Badger Divide and King Alfreds Way. If you need any pointers for touring with your dog we can help!

Before opening Keep Pedalling she managed one of Manchester’s premier outdoor shops and before that the travel bookshop Stanfords. More recently she’s toured the Atlas mountains in Morocco, traversed Iceland’s interior and explored the less travelled parts of  the Scottish Highlands. Planning a trip to one of the more unusual parts of the world? This is the person to talk to. You’ll find out the best books and maps to use, which clothing and equipment to take.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”13070″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Rich has been consumed by a passion for bicycles since his youth tinkering in his Dad’s shed.  With many years experience of working in the bike industry Rich is certainly qualified to spin a spanner and build a bomb proof set of wheels. Putting in the miles on a long commute ensure he knows what works and what is destined for the scrap bin.  24hr solo single speed endurance racing and back country touring are a lot of fun whenever there’s some time away from the shop.

Favourite bike? Mail order distance selling regulations dictate that as a consumer you can return any un-used goods for any reason, within seven days.  You are fully liable for any return postage costs and any outbound postage cost will be deducted from any refund given. Please ask all the questions you need and make sure it’s what you want in the first instance. Note that this does not apply for goods that have been custom built or specially ordered for you. We are a small shop with limited shelf space and our suppliers are awesome and get orders to us super quick so we don’t need to hold a lot of stock. If we have taken a deposit to order something for you and you decide to cancel you forfeit your deposit, see below.

Deposits

We accept deposits in good faith, they are part of a contract of sale between us and you. All deposits are final and will not be refunded for any reason other than our mistake. If you order something and put a deposit on it, then we will honour our part of the contract. If you change your mind, you forfeit your deposit.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrectly Supplied Goods

Mistakes can happen, in these cases please contact us immediately and we will make it all better. If the goods are damaged or we send you someone else’s new wheel, then we’ll pay your return postage. Call us to arrange the best course of action – of course we want to get it right.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
